1st Knaphill Beaver Scouts Circus Spectacular
After a busy term making a variety of circus props and practising their circus skills 1st Knaphill Beaver Scouts opened The Big Top (yet another use for their parachute!!!) for an amazing...death-defying...spectacular circus performance on Tues 28th May.
Parents and friends gathered under the Big Top, festooned with home made bunting,
and enjoyed traditional circus acts including tumbling clowns, tightrope walkers, jokes, tricks, jugglers, plate spinners, a human cannonball and many more. The Beaver Scouts own lion tamer presented his fierce pride of lions and their mighty strongmen (all of 3ft 6" high) lifted weights in excess of 10 tons!!! The circus also included a brief
(if rather wobbly) appearance from 1st Knaphill's GSL as a novice unicyclist!.
The show was enjoyed by all - not least by the performers themselves and
donations were collected to help those attending the Jamboree. The Woking
Contingent are extremely grateful for all the hard work that the Beaver Scouts
(and their leaders) put in on their behalf and for the very kind generosity of the
audience!
Photos to come soon!
