Steve Britain - 7th Woking

I have been an Assistant Scout Leader at 7th Woking for 9 years (although it often seems longer!) and am now taking up a new role as Assistant Explorer Scout Leader with the Unit based there. I am also the mountainous activities advisor for Woking District. 

When I am not working or Scouting I try to make time for some of my hobbies including mountaineering, skiing, climbing. kayaking and the odd bit of renovation on my Victorian home, with my wife, Frances.

I have already taken part in a number of foreign expeditions including an Operation Raleigh expedition to Chile, Venture Scout expeditions (Expyre and Expresso) and Kandersteg with Surrey Scouts. From all of these I gained a huge amount, including some superb memories and some great friends. All of which make me so keen to take part in a World Scout Jamboree, I can hardly wait!
